This upmarket jeweller wanted to exude sophistication and a quality of timeless tradition. The usage of wood was the perfect backdrop with a delicate herringbone detail on the grain. The ‘V’ shapes depicting the delicate quality of the jewellery.

The lines and curves of the units were representative of the sophisticated jewellery and the richness of the wood set off the gold pieces with a contemporary blend of blue and metal complementing the platinum and silver creations.

Curvaceous and feminine, this store is designed to entice. Everything about the space is soft and flowing, from the sandy blonde maple wood units – set in a “S” shape as if sketching the lines of the female form, to the opaque glass – subtly backlit to resemble the soft-toned creaminess of chiffon. Units are set on castors to change the mood of the store as the garments change.

It’s a celebration of femininity enveloped in pleasurable cocooned shopping environment. The wing shaped wooden structures at the shop front taper from top to bottom as shoulders taper down to feet.

This store is the perfect case study illustrating how Spin Interiors is resourceful when devising design solutions for clients. Europa Art shoes were set to apply cosmetic changes to all of its stores – an expensive exercise.

Original design ideas were revisited to remain elegant while better suiting the budget. Instead of going to the expense of installing opaque glass, inventive lighting coupled with a paint technique gave a pleasingly similar effect.

French! Chic! An elegant boutique for woman and children. The embodiment of femininity – in pink. A ‘moving’ graphic at the entrance draws clientele into Mandarine. The jewellery counter in opulent cerise pink padded-velvet fabric is the first and last statement of the store – playful and functional. Elegant soft pink wall units have adjustable rails, which allow for flexibility of display. The high gloss epoxy floor, looks like strawberry ice cream, refreshing and inviting. The classical detail of the floor units and unique seating in playful colours are sophisticated but fresh, playful yet serious. The design takes full advantage of the ceiling height and ample window.

A recessed, cerise pink circle is played off brilliantly with a dropped crystal chandelier that falls neatly over the seating area. The false wall was positioned to create a backdrop for graphics and signage in the windows as well as enabling additional wall hanging and storage/display space. All the wall units and furniture are designed to be free standing with storage space above, adding to the feeling of being in a personal space, filled with treasured furniture, rather than just another clothing store. Mandarine in the World Wear Centre in Fairlands makes a statement in perfect pink.
